Wilson Kurschner

Wilson Kurschner is a writer, director, and cinematographer. He completed his first feature film at age 15 in 2017. Since 2020, he has written and directed three additional feature films: Denny Dugout, Grass Lake, and The Sticks. As a director of photography, Wilson has shot the short films All About Steve (dir. Haley Franzen) What Is an Artist Without His Masterpiece (dir. Karl …), and Highbeam (dir. Kate Graves). Beyond narrative film, he has directed two music videos for the band Wilson Wyler and won two Telly Awards for a viral social media campaign promoting a live charity concert, Paloma Live!, in Minneapolis.
For the past decade, Wilson has sustained his career primarily as an editor in corporate video production, creating advertising, internal communications, and crisis training content for companies including Hudson RPO, Nystrom, and Doran Companies. He has also worked on film sets in a range of crew roles, including gaffer (Quench, dir. Hayden Bone; Push Me to the Floor, dir. Simon Redstone), grip, and numerous other production positions. Bringing a versatile skill set and a strong work ethic to every project, Wilson is excited to collaborate on future creative work.
